Steve Dunkle - Chief Executive Officer

Steve Dunkle has in excess of 25 years in healthcare focused primarily in providing technologies that benefit health information. Following his entrepreneurial spirit in 1989 he founded and was President & CEO for VDI Technologies, Inc., the first PC based digital voice capture and document management system until he sold the company to Dictaphone Corporation in 1996. He then ran the eHealthcare division for a portal architecture company implementing physician based portals for companies like Tenet Healthcare and was the Chief Operating Officer for a national medical transcription service provider. The consummate entrepreneur, in 2003 he again started his own company Proveros, Inc. where he served as President & CEO until its October 2008 acquisition by Superior Global. Steve served two terms and president of MTIA and seven terms on MTIA’s Board of Directors. He has been a consultant to Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI), Chair of their Vendor Affiliate Program, chairs the association’s Nominating Committee, serves on the AHIMA and AAMT Task force for the future of technology and transcription and is a member of Advance magazine “Advance for Health Information Professionals” editorial staff. Steve attended Boston University, is a disabled veteran, and in his spare time he serves on the Boards of Directors for National Coalition For The Protection of Children and Families, Easter Seals, Operation Life Transformed and is involved in church leadership.

Todd Vick - President and Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer of Superior Global, Todd Vick is responsible for managing the financial growth of the company. Mr. Vick is an executive with strong financial and operational experience and has worked in the services and technology industries for over 20 years. He has a consistent, successful track record of formulating and executing growth strategies with focus on drivers of corporate performance. In addition, he brings experience managing both buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions. Prior to joining Superior Global Solutions, for eleven years Todd was the CFO of Navigator Systems, a growing business intelligence consulting company, and managed Navigator’s ultimate sale to Hitachi Consulting. In his four years at Hitachi Consulting, Todd served as VP, Mergers & Acquisitions, leading their US and European buy-side acquisitions. Todd is a CPA in the state of Texas and holds an M.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Finance, both from the University of Virginia.

Gary Smith - Chief Operations Officer

Gary Smith has over 25 years of experience in operations and technical support management. Throughout his career Gary has served in Manager, Director and Vice President capacities maximizing organizations to reach their maximum potential. He has increased revenues and improved customer satisfaction through world-class service offerings. His expertise is in operations management, process improvement, customer service, strategic planning, financial and market analysis, business planning, implementation of new services, and budgeting. He joined Superior Global in 2003. Prior to Superior Global, Gary served in executive management positions with MD Productivity and Linotype-Hell. Gary holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming and in his spare time is a referee for basketball and is involved in his local church.

Jeff Tindall - Director of Software Development

Jeff Tindall is an application architect with 14 years of experience in the transcription software industry. His primary focus has been on Microsoft technologies, distributed networked applications, and parallel data processing. Jeff started his technical career in healthcare documentation management software with Healthcare Technologies, Inc. while attending the Georgia Institute of Technology. Jeff served as President of HTI Technologies, Inc. prior to its acquisition by Superior Global. Over the past 7 years, Jeff has managed the development and support of the MediScribe product line. The latest generation of the MediScribe product line, MediScribe.NET, was designed, built, and deployed under Jeff’s leadership. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and is a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer.

Jay Vance, CMT - Director of Product Development & Deployment

|
Jay has been active in the healthcare documentation field in a variety of production and managerial capacities since 1999, most recently as Product Specialist for Superior Global Solutions, Inc. He is a Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) and has served as a technical consultant for the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI). He played an integral role in launching a number of technology initiatives for AHDI, including co-founding the association's first online component, introducing webinar technology for continuing education and web-based meetings, and providing the original design for the AHDI Professional Practices Network. He is currently the Administrator/Moderator for the AHDI Lounge blog and serves on the AHDI Outreach Workgroup for News and Networking (OWNN). Jay has written extensively for healthcare documentation trade publications and traveled widely to give live presentations on such subjects as speech recognition technology, HIPAA compliance and social networking for professionals. He serves on the Advisory Board for the medical transcription educational program at Gateway Community College in Phoenix, AZ, and was the founder of MedTransition, an innovative school-to-work externship program. Jay is married to Carol, also a medical transcriptionist, and is the father of four children and grandfather of two.

Joseph MacFarlane - Director of Account Management

|
Joe has been involved in various stages of the medical transcription field for the past 22 years. Prior to joining Superior Global in March of 2010, Mr. MacFarlane founded his own company to bring cost-effective solutions to healthcare clients through the utilization of his years of experience. Consultancies included sales and marketing services, identification and negotiation of strategic alliances and partnerships, operational restructuring and establishment of offshore production facilities for clients such as Provider Health Network Services (PHNS) and MedAppz, Inc.
Prior to starting MacFarlane Health Care Services, Joe was Senior Vice President of Transcription Operations with MedLinx, Inc., an international provider of transcription services. In this role he was responsible for creating and establishing daily operations including implementation of technology, supervising US and international labor pools, maintaining client relations, and the identification and negotiation of strategic alliances and partnerships. Additionally, Joe was Eastern Regional Vice President of Sales for the Edix Corporation and Regional Director of New England for Medquist, Inc. He held managerial marketing and sales positions with VDI Technologies, Inc. and Record Plus, a West Coast transcription company. Joe received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University.
